Historical Restoration

This historical home had sustained bad damage from squirrels chewing away the historical details and the mansard gutters. All damaged wood was removed so that the historical details of the house could be rebuilt.

Palmer Construction Management milled new custom-made historical dentils. Many were damaged and/or missing at the beginning of the job. New wood was installed to rebuild the mansard gutter in the historical fashion. New custom-made “outrigger” rafters were installed to support the mansard gutter. A new roofing membrane liner was installed in the mansard gutter to create the final waterproofing layer. Palmer Construction Management fabricated new copper edging metal for the final edge detail to cap all roofing materials. The mansard gutter was painted in a historical color.
