New SBS Modified Roof Install

This West Philadelphia home had badly damaged roof rafters. When all layers of roofing were removed the severely damaged roof rafters were exposed. All of the rafters were in need of replacement before the new roof could be installed.

All damaged wood was removed from the roof structure. All damaged sheathing was removed as needed. New rafters were installed to support the roof. New exterior-rated sheathing was installed as needed on the roof.

A layer of 1-½” PolyIso insulation was mechanically fastened on the roof to give an insulation rating of R13. A base layer was installed on the sheathing as well as on the flashing where needed. A new commercial drain assembly was installed. A layer of White SBS Modified Bitumen roofing was installed over the roof and all flashing areas as needed.
